We encourage sustainable consumption and preserve natural resources for future generations.

In addition to the sustainable and fair procurement of the required materials, we continuously invest in and optimise our production plants for improvements in sustainability.

Nature

In 2014 DOMACO fitted a photovoltaic system on its roof, spanning an area of more than 1,600 m².

This installation was significantly expanded with the photovoltaic system of the new building facilities. We participate in the voluntary climate protection programme of the Swiss Energy Agency, aiming to continuously reduce CO₂ emissions. The resulting solar energy is equivalent to the consumption of more than 50 households and we use it directly in our production processes. We additionally analyse and optimise the office and production facilities in the pursuit of maximising energy efficiency.

Heat resulting from the production processes is recovered and reused as heating for the buildings. The water used in production is pre-cleaned and treated in our own waste water facility, for efficient transfer back to the communal waste water system. Naturally, we also preserve resources by resources many of the materials we use, such as PET, cardboard, paper or wood. We protect natural resources and promote a bright future for the coming generations.
